Welcome to Red Feather Icelandics
Red Feather Icelandics is located at the base of Mount Adams along the eastern slope of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. This area is an outdoor paradise for kayaking, hiking, fly-fishing, skiing, windsurfing and of course, Icelandic Horse trekking.
Drawn to the Pacific Northwest by its beauty, Dick and Linda Templeton accidentally discovered Icelandic Horses. Their first year in the area, the Pan American International Endurance Ride took place in the Mt. Adams area. They headed up to the horse camp to see the riders. When they looked through the pastures at all the magnificent horses, they were drawn to a corral with several small horses. The sun was slanting through the clouds in rays, reflecting off flowing manes and tails blowing in the breeze...and both the love affair and the adventure began.
