PLEASURE CLASS OPTIONS:

Schooling class

Starting on any rein-½ round walk,1 round slow tolt,1 round medium speed tolt and 1 round trot . After or during your ride the judges will give you tips how to improve your scores for round II. The speaker will instruct you, when to change gaits so you can concentrate on your horse  and riding. Judged are horse’s form under the rider, rider's riding skills, and horse’s gaits.

3 Gait

Judged at a walk, a middle gait (tolt or trot- rider’s preference), and a canter. All horses in the ring at the same time. The announcer will instruct you for directions.

Tolt

All horses in the ring at the same time. This class is judged on how easy the horse tolts, how little the rider has to influence the gaits. Judges will request speed changes and rein change.

4 Gait

All horses in the ring at the same time. Walk, trot, tolt and canter will be requested by the judge.  Judges will request showing on both reins.

Loose Rein Tolt

All horses in the ring at the same time. Judged is a working to medium tempo tolt, holding both reins in one hand clearly showing no rein contact with the horse’s mouth. Speaker will give instructions to then show a loose rein tolt where no contact is visible.

SPORT CLASS OPTIONS:

T1 – Tolt 1

Horses are ridden one at a time. Test starts in the middle of the short side. Rider salutes the judges and starts. One round in working tempo (slow) tolt. Return to walk in the middle of the short side and change rein. Next round is working tempo tolt on short sides, extended tempo (fast) tolt on the long sides. Third round is extended tempo tolt.  Horse has to be walking before the end of the last short side.

T2 – Tolt 2

Up to Three horses in the ring at the same time and instructed by the speaker. First round is at any tempo tolt. Second round is in a slow, steady calm tempo tolt, then return to walk and change rein. Third round, (marks will be doubled here) in a working to medium tempo tolt, holding both reins in one hand clearly showing no rein contact with the horse’s mouth.

F1 – 5 Gait

Horses are ridden one at a time. Test starts in the middle of the short side. Rider salutes judges and starts. Each rider has 4 ½ round. ½ round walk, 1 round tolt, 1 round trot, 1 round canter, 1 round pace (shown on the long sides only). Gaits may be ridden in order of rider’s choice, but have to be changed in the middle of the short side. The test can be ridden on either rein, but change of rein cannot be made.

V1 – 4 Gait

Horses are ridden one at a time. Test starts in the middle of the short sides. Rider salutes judges and starts. Each horse has 4 ½ rounds. ½ round at a walk. 1 round working tempo tolt, 1 round extended tempo tolt, 1 round trot, 1 round canter. Gaits may be ridden at rider’s choice, but have to be changed in the middle of the short side. The test can be ridden on either rein, but change of rein can not be made.

FUN CLASSES OPTIONS:

Pair Tolt - Open

Riders pair up to show Tolt at different speeds and reins. Judged on synchronization of speed and the horses footfall. Also judged is the pair’s harmony and tolt quality.

Flag Race - Open

Riders ride their horse in free gait. At every odd bucket, the rider takes the flag out of the bucket and put it back in the next bucket to the finish line. If rider fails to put the flag in the bucket or the flag falls out of it during the test, the rider is disqualified. The fastest rider wins this class.

Toilet Paper Ride - Open

The riders are connected by a piece of toilet paper carried in their hands. Winner is the pair that manages to keep the paper from ripping while performing maneuvers asked for by the judge, such as change of gaits and directions and sudden turns. Riders hands may NOT touch. Riders are to pick their team mate for this challenging contest.

Ride a Buck Bareback” - Open

Riders are asked to put a $5 under their thigh while riding bareback. The last one left with it wins the JACKPOT. * $5 ENTRY FEE for this class only

Beer Tolt Open

All horses in the ring at the same time. Each rider carries a full mug of beer in one hand while performing at a tolt, as well as abrupt stops, walk and trot on judge’s command. The one finishing the tolt class with the most beer wins.

 

All Horses are required to be vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior.

Helmets and Signed Release REQUIRED
