Northwest Horse Fair and Expo

The NorthWest Icelandic Horse Club, in partnership with the Cascade Icelandic Horse Club, will have an eight person drill team performance and booth set up at the Northwest Horse Fair and Expo at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center in Albany, Oregon. Healthy Horse Dressage: Clinic with Caeli Cavanagh

This clinic will explore how to use dressage exercises to correct our horses' physical imbalances. We will seek to learn to use dressage movements to increase balance, develop lightness and keep our horses moving healthily for years to come. Learn how to become your horse's personal physical therapist! The clinician will be our own Caeli Cavanagh (FT Association member, FEIF Trainer Level 3).

Fee for this clinic is $375 to ride; $100 to audit. (meal plan not included)

We will have a variety of classes for all levels, from fun classes to more advanced individual programs. This event is a no pressure and all fun show that is designed to be educational and supportive, especially to new competitors!

Its not fair that only kids get to have all the summer fun! Take some time off this summer and join us for Adult Summer Camp -- a week long getaway featuring world-class riding lessons, tasty local cuisine, and daily adventures in rustic southern Washington!

Each day starts with a refreshing (and optional) session of yoga followed by a riding lesson with internationally-certified trainer and teacher Caeli Cavanagh. Throughout the week you'll have opportunities for fly fishing, mounted archery, jewelry-making and other handicrafts, hiking in the hills and forests beneath Mt. Adams, and so much more!

Fee is $1250 including Breakfast and Lunch each day.

Join us at the first annual sanctioned show! Though this will be a sanctioned event we will keep it fun and educational, with judges comments given after rides, and classes for every level from fun trail courses to advanced individual programs. Come ride and compete or come watch, cheer on your favorites and see how our horses can really fly! We will also have a community dinner and silent auction! We hope to see you there.

Come see us demonstrate the versatility, talent and beauty of our breed on both Saturday and Sunday at the Clark County Event center in Vancouver, WA! Jolli is renowned for his many years of experience and teaching at Holar, he tailors each lesson to the rider / horse combo and their needs and level. 

Riders will ride as singles each day of the three day clinic. Lectures Daily allow auditors to ask questions and gain more insight. Jolli is very inclusive of the audience during the lessons, educating all of us as he directs rider and horse.

Clinic can accommodate 8 Riders and 12 Auditors. 

Fee for Riders is $595; Fee for Auditing is $195; Both Riders and Auditors will also have a $150 Meal Plan fee covering Thursday Dinner - Sunday Lunch.

Guðmar will be presenting a clinic focused on ´How to Communicate with your Horse´.

The clinic will be a combination of student riding sessions, classroom lecture, and ridden demonstrations by Guðmar coupled with explanations of what is happening between horse and rider. To see Gudmar's training style and understand his philosophy, please visit Gudmar.com .

Rider spots are limited to 12, auditor spots are limited to 12.

Fee for Riders is $495; Fee for Auditing is $150; Both Riders and Auditors will also have a $100 Meal Plan fee covering Friday Dinner - Sunday Lunch.
